North America is the northern continent of the Americas, situated in the Earth's northern hemisphere and almost totally in the western hemisphere. It is bordered on the north by the Arctic Ocean, on the east by the North Atlantic Ocean, on the southeast by the Caribbean Sea, and on the west by the North Pacific Ocean; South America lies to the southeast. North America covers an area of about 24,709,000 square kilometers (9,540,000 square miles), about 4.8% of the planet's surface or about 16.5% of its land area. As of July 2008, its population was estimated at nearly 529 million people. It is the third-largest continent in area, following Asia and Africa, and the fourth in population after Asia, Africa, and Europe.

What important social aspects shape north american life?
Q. What important social aspects shape north american life? How does it affect and build our culture? who does it make us, us

A. Please be more specific. I'm sure your teacher gave you a more detailed assignment. You've "cherry-picked" in an attempt to disguise the homework aspect and, while doing so, have really confused the issue.

What's happening at the Eurasian/North American plate boundary?
Q. I've been doing a bit of online research and can find no clear answer. Many maps that show plate boundary motions leave the boundary between the Eurasian Plate and the North American Plate blank. Can this boundary be classified as convergent, divergent, or transform?

A. One the east side of the North American Plate, it has divergent boundary. On the West side there are divergent boundaries, transform boundaries and convergent boundaries. So you could say that all of the answers apply. Take a look at the pangea.standard, edu power point display. It will answer most of your questions. In google I used "diffuse plate boundary asian north american " for my search terms. Lots of good references come up. The pangea stanford file is one of the best I have seen. If you cann't run powerpoint, let me know and I will convert it to a self running file.
