Nounorganizations
From Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. An organization (or organisation — see spelling differences) is a social arrangement which pursues collective goals, which controls its own performance, and which has a boundary separating it from its environment. The word itself is derived from the Greek word ὄργανον (organon [itself derived from the better-known word ἔργον ergon - work; deed - > ergonomics, etc]) meaning tool. The term is used in both daily and scientific English in multiple ways. In the social sciences, organizations are studied by researchers from several disciplines, the most common of which are sociology, economics, political science, psychology, management, and organizational communication. The broad area is commonly referred to as organizational studies, organizational behavior or organization analysis. Therefore, a number of different theories and perspectives exist, some of which are compatible, and others that are competing.

Can anyone recommend some very good organizations that I can donate to---organizations that feed the hungry? I'm looking for something that is NOT religiously based. An organization that is also reputable, where at least most of the donation actually goes toward feeding those who need food. Thank you in advance! Q. I'm not talking about an organization where you just pay your fees and you can practice any style. I'm thinking more towards organizations like ITF, WTF, Kodokan, Aikikai, etc. Anyone have an official rank or set? Asked by ..... - Sun Jan 4 12:52:15 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. Actually the World Karate Federation is one of the largest, if not the largest, in the world. They have an estimated 60 million members worldwide and include sub associations that number in the thousands. ATA is a large association but one of the least respected. WTF is the largest for Tae Kwon Do with about 8 Million world wide but they never update their database to exclude non training members. ISKA is very small in comparison so is NASKA, WUKO, NBL and the other sport associations.
